President's Volunteer Service Award
The President’s Volunteer Service Award recognizes United States citizens and lawfully admitted permanent residents of the United States who have achieved the required number of hours of service over a 12-month time period – or cumulative hours over the course of a lifetime.
This is a recording mechanism for all of your volunteering that you do for multiple organizations. You don't volunteer for the PVSA, the PVSA is awarded in recognition of the volunteer hours you have spent in service to others. It can be especially helpful for girls in 8th-12th grade who will be filling out college and scholarship applications.
The Route 66 Service Unit is a Certifying Organization and can order earned awards. The troop or parent is responsible for paying for the award and the shipping and handling fees.
Below are instructions for how to set up your account on the PVSA website and how to start recording your volunteer hours.
