Adult Awards

Registered adult members of Girl Scouts can be nominated for awards recognizing their spirit of volunteerism and
leadership.  GSEOK's Adult Recognition Guide contains all requirements and forms necessary to nominate someone
for a Council or Service Unit award.  Nomination applications need to be turned in to the council or service unit by

Girl Scouts Global Action Award
In 2015, leaders worldwide agreed to work together to accomplish 17 goals by 2030—these are referred to as the Global Goals for Sustainable Development, or SDGs for short. They focus on things like taking care of the environment, making sure all people have enough to eat, and improving people’s health. They’re big goals, but Girl Scouts know a thing or two about changing the world!

The badge goes on the front of the vest and there is now one for each year of Girl Scouts.

World Thinking Day Award
Each year on February 22, girls participate in activities and projects with global themes to honor their sister Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in other countries.

In 2024, the theme is “Our World, Our Thriving Future: The Environment and Global Poverty.”
To earn your World Thinking Day Award, you'll explore the link between poverty and the environment and find out how these problems are even more challenging for girls and women in your community and around the world.
Check out the activity guides at the Girl Scouts website (click on the link above) to get involved and learn about how you can make a difference in the world.

My Promise, My Faith

Girls can earn this pin for each year they are in Girl Scouts.  The color of the pin reflects the level of Girl Scouts.  Requirements are in the level Girl's Guide to Girl Scouting.  There are guides that can be purchased in the GS store to help younger girls (DBG) and older girls (CSA) through the program.

National Religious Awards
Earned by completing requirements set out by each faith.  Information about the all non-Roman Catholic awards offered can be found on the PrayPub website.  Leaders can share with parents the Religious Award Flier

These awards go on the front of the vest.
